Step 3 Taking a right at Pike Place Market, follow the road to Bell Street. You know you are headed in the right direction when you see the famous “Public Market” sign. The walk from the station to the ship is about 10 minutes.Įxiting the building, you’ll walk down Pine Street, which dead ends into the famous Pike Place Market. Exiting the Westlake station, head toward the Pike Place Market at the end of Pine Street. For Pier 66, you’ll want to exit “C1 3rd Ave & Pine” as this exit puts you the closest to the cruise port. There are several exits from the station. Even riding on a Monday in the middle of the day, the train was never too crowded and there were always seats available.Īt the Westlake station, you’ll exit the train and then ride escalators up to the street level. Once boarded, you’ll find a seat and wait for the Westlake station. From there, you’ll ride to the Westlake station. Step 2 You want to board the Link train heading toward Northgate. You want to board the northbound train heading toward Northgate. Depending on the time of day, trains run roughly every 10 minutes. You’ll then head up the escalator to catch the train. For the cruise ports, you will be getting off the train at the Westlake stop. You enter the stop you want, and it will calculate the fare. Reaching the light rail station at Sea-Tac, look for the large “Orca” machines selling rail tickets. Here, you’ll buy a ticket at the Orca machine ($3) and head up the yellow escalator to the train platform. There is a shuttle offered, but in our experience, it was faster to walk than wait on the shuttle. It is a decent walk - about 5-10 minutes. From there, continue following the signage for the light rail. This will lead to a skybridge that exits the airport terminal and then enters the fourth level of the parking garage. The good news is that you can get there using public transportation for drastically less money. However, it will also cost you about $50-60 for the ride. The most convenient way to get to the ship is just to catch a taxi or Uber/Lyft to there. In other words, it’s a decent distance between the airport and the cruise port. Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is located about 15 miles south of the Pier 66 cruise terminal and about 18 miles south of Pier 91. Seattle has two different ports - Pier 66, located downtown, and Pier 91, located just a few miles north from there. That means you’ll need to find transportation from the airport to the cruise port. Of course, given the location of Seattle, many people that are coming in for a cruise fly into the city. Pier 91 is a little tougher to get to, but the public train can still save a bundle. You can use public transportation to get from the airport to the Seattle cruise port at Pier 66. And what’s not to like? Not only is the city one of the most beautiful in the country, with lots to see and do, but it’s also the starting point for trips to Alaska, which offer a chance to see some of the most remote and stunning landscapes you’ll ever see.
